Volunteer Teacher:

As a teacher at ReDI School, you plan classes, make teaching material and teach the students. You can teach the following courses:

• Computer for Digital Beginners level 1, 2 or 3 (taught in Danish or English)

• User Experience

• User Interface

• Introduction to Front-Dnd Development

• Introduction to Data Analytics

• AI Fundamentals

• Cloud Computing Fundamentals

• Cybersecurity Fundamentals

What does teaching entail?

You will be part of a teaching team of approximately 5-7 teachers. On the team, you split the classes between you and take turns to teach. You will be teaching approximately every other week together with 1-2 teachers from your team. Together, you help students develop their digital skills, while you develop your competencies as teachers.

You commit to teaching 6 out of 12 classes and can expect to spend approximately 10 hours a month.

Career Coaching:

As a volunteer career coach, you’ll mentor and guide students to support their career development goals and help them move closer to finding a job in tech. We match you with students based on your background and preferences. You can choose to coach students individually or work with two or more in a group setting whichever you prefer. Group sessions can be especially valuable, as students can learn from each other’s career experiences and expand their networks.

What does the coaching programme entail?

Each semester, we hold coaching training sessions where you’ll learn about coaching techniques, communication, and guiding conversations. A few weeks later, after being matched with students, you’ll have your first introductory meeting. Over the next six months, you’ll meet regularly to discuss their personal and professional development.

We provide a structured curriculum and program, but you’re free to tailor it to fit your style. We recommend meeting at least once a month and staying in touch between sessions. While students are responsible for their own growth, such as completing assignments, reflecting, and driving their development, your role as a coach is to inspire and guide them along the way.

Volunteer Child-carer:

You will take care of the learners’ children, while they have classes in ReDI School. Our courses and activities are usually outside normal office hours, so it can be difficult to get childcare. You get the opportunity to be creative and create nice experiences with the children, while their mothers are improving their digital skills.

What does it take to be a child-carer in ReDI School?

You have to be able to commit to coming to ReDI School at least every 2nd week for 4-5 hours and remain stable throughout the semester. We also need to be able to get a certificate from the police that you are allowed to work with children.

Volunteer Teacher:

Apply online and we will reach out to you. If you get a spot as a teacher, you’ll have to participate in a mandatory training session and a mandatory preparation evening. After this, you are ready to teach!

Volunteer Career Coach

We expect career coaches to have a broad knowledge of the work market in Denmark and, ideally, experience in recruitment processes. It is also an advantage to know about the tech industry.

To become a child-carer you need to:

• Be over 18 years old
