Volunteering at ReDI School
Help our students build a brighter future
Our mission at ReDI School is supported by the tech community across Denmark, Sweden & Germany, who teach, mentor and support our students along the way. We are looking for a variety of volunteers who can bring their professional experience to help our students grow. Fill in the application form or meet us at one of our events to find out about possibilities to get involved.
Volunteer as a teacher
Volunteer teachers teach* groups of 10-20 learners during a semester. Each semester lasts 3-4 months and each course runs 1-2 times a week. You never teach alone, with each team consisting of 5-7 teachers. You rotate within your teaching team so you can work more flexibly.
Teachers are involved from the selection of students to planning classes and updating the curriculum. Teaching material exists, but teaching teams always improve it together.
*Our courses are mostly taught in English, but some in German, Danish or Sweden.
As a mentor
As a volunteer mentor you support our learners and alumni in 1:1 sessions on their learning and career journey. You can help them develop their technical skills or give career related support to get them ready for the job market. Be ReDI to share your experience, your network and your knowledge. In exchange, you will look at things from a different perspective or simply meet a great person!
As a career trainer
As a volunteer career trainer you have experience as an HR expert, tech recruiter or any other IT profession and can lead one of our career-related workshops for our learners. These career workshops are part of our unique career program to equip our learners with the necessary skills to successfully apply for positions in the tech sector covering topics such as fine-tuning a CV, LinkedIn profile and preparing for a job interview.
As a Developer or Designer in a Product Team
As a Volunteer Developer or Designer, you'll play a crucial role in advancing our internal platforms, ReDI Connect and Talent Pool. These platforms empower ReDI students and alumni to enter the tech industry by connecting them with suitable mentors (Connect) and job opportunities (Talent Pool).
Our dynamic team consists of a core group and approximately 5-10 dedicated volunteers who collaborate closely with the product owner and our Agile Coach. Together, we conduct research, design, test, and code, all aimed at continuously enhancing Connect and Talent Pool. Pretty exciting, isn't it?
