Full Stack Web Development Bootcamp

In ReDI’s full stack bootcamp, you'll progress through four structured projects to master web development:

• Project 1 - Intro to React: You build an e-commerce store using React basics, SPA concepts, React components, props, State, useState, React Router, error handling and Next.js.

• Project 2 - Twitter Clone: You build a twitter clone using tailwind CSS designing an responsive UI, you use Next.js for routing, API integration. 

• Project 3 - Capestone Project: You build a final capstone project using React and NoSQL. You create a NoSQL database and integrate it with React/Next.js. You learn the basics of shell and SSH commands to deploy. You have the chance to present your project to your colleagues in the course. 

• Project 4 - Job Readiness: In the final project, you create a powerful LinkedIn profile, CV, and portfolio, work on a design challenge, and learn how to apply for your first job.

• You have a solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React. Are you unsure if you have the right skills? In the application process, you receive a Prework where you can test your HTML, CSS, and JS skills. 

• You need to be fluent in understanding and speaking English.

• You should commit to at least 20 hours per week, including classes and self-study, and maintain at least 80% attendance to graduate.

• You should have an understanding of the full stack labor market and be aiming for a career in this field.

• You are expected to work independently on projects. This requires the majority of the 20 hours each week.

• Projects: Over 18 weeks, engage with four distinct projects, each spanning four weeks. Work independently and receive ongoing feedback from coaches and peers.

• Weekly Sessions: Participate in three weekly sessions. Keep in mind that this is not a classical lecture-style course. The focus is on active participation. 80% of attendance and project completion is required for graduation.

• Weekly Milestones: Each week you work on a weekly milestone where you apply the newly learned concepts in your project. Working on the weekly milestone requires most of this course's 20-hour weekly time commitment. If you don’t have 20 hours a week to work on your project, this course might be too intense for you. 

• Hybrid: Depending on whether you are based in Hamburg, Berlin, or NRW, different on-site activities occur. In Hamburg, one session a month is on-site. In Berlin and NRW, you can join on-site community events. All other sessions are online via Zoom.

• Active Work: Note this is NOT a passive, lecture-style environment. Each learner is expected to be self-driven and motivated to code and work hands-on each week on the project. ReDI to start coding? Then join us!

• Monday: Every Monday from 19:00 to 21:00, you have a Q&A session in which you can ask any questions about your project. Furthermore, you practice the concepts with a hands-on activity with the teachers.

• Wednesday: Every Wednesday from 19:00 to 21:00, you have a coaching session where you present your weekly milestone (part of your project) to a coach and receive guidance and support to complete it.

• Thursday: Every Thursday from 19:00 to 21:00, you have an input session during which the teachers introduce new concepts.

• Friday - Monday: You work on your weekly project milestone. That means you will be coding hands-on by yourself. If you run into problems, you can contact your class on Slack. You complete the milestone before Wednesday to present it in the session.

• You’ll be ready to build and deploy complete web applications using modern tools like React and Next.js

• You’ll have a strong portfolio showcasing real-world projects, including an e-commerce store and a personal capstone project

• Prepare for the Job Market: You crafted a professional LinkedIn profile, CV, and portfolio, tackled case study challenges, and learned job application strategies

• With your front-end and back-end development skills, you’ll be prepared to apply for internships and junior developer roles
